Teijin Aramid is a Dutch subsidiary of Japanese Chemical and Pharmaceutical company Teijin. Teijin Aramid markets and sells aramids, among them Twaron, a para-aramid fiber.
Top car tire brands use Twaron to make their tires lighter and stronger while reducing vehicle emissions. Police officers around the globe rely on ballistic vests made with the same material to protect themselves. Higher strength engineering plastics are made with the material and the fiber optic cables that connect our world are protected by it. The Mars Rover curiosity was suspended from its parachute by Technora fibers. All of these fibers are sold by Teijin Aramid.
Teijin Aramid & Nectar
Due to the critical nature of Teijin Aramid’s products and the high end applications that they are used for we are proud that the company has turned to Nectar for 3D Printing. In Arnhem, Teijin Aramid has recently acquired and implemented one of the first Nectar One 3D printers.
